Recycling Light Bulbs

Rooting around today in the drawer, I found loads of old light bulbs where the tungsten bit had burnt out. Why I keep these I'll never know. Do I put them in the glass recycling - I don't know? A quick search on the Recycle Now website said that most local authorities won’t accept normal household light bulbs for recycling via recycling centres or kerbside recycling schemes. So what now for the light bulb that has given me light and heat for most of its short life? Well, after more Googling, I found a site called About.com which has a craft section. Here it tells you great ideas for recycling light bulbs into items such as Christmas tree decorations.
